Final Pencarian Remaja Berbakat Media Hiburan 2012 Edisi Youtube

Pada 17 Jun 2012 yang lalu, Final Pencarian Remaja Berbakat Media Hiburan Edisi Youtube 2012 (PRB MH 2012) telah berlangsung di Pusat Kraftangan, Jalan Conlay, Kuala Lumpur. *gila formal ayat intro.hahaha*

Out of 25 semi-finalist, 12 were selected. For us finalist, I think it's pretty fair to say that the final stage was the biggest show we've ever performed at. There were numerous local celebrities and press were present on that night. Compliments should be given to Media Hiburan's team, lead by their charismatic & humble leader, Che Meen. This team is the most hardworking people for this event. Thank u guys, korg memang AJAIB! hahahaha!

Regarding the finalist, semuanya tersangatlah talented, outstanding, charismatic & macam2 lagi lah. Terasa diriku begitu kecil. Semua ada kelebihan dan identiti tersendiri. Ada yg suara tinggi ke langit, ada yang perform macam pro, ada yang dah ada lagu sendiri, dan macam2 lagilah spesis manusia saya jumpa dlm kalangan finalist tu. Tapi yang penting, semuanya sporting. X kedekut ilmu yang best tu! Saling bertukar idea dan pendapat utk improve perfomance masing2 macam dah jadi perkara biasa dlm masa 2 hari kami spent sama2. Yang penting, aku sayang korang semua sebab jarang dapat jumpa kawan2 yang sangat memahami when it comes to music(especially geng2 guitarist). Bak kata Maskurnia Sayuti, we share the same problem.

On that night, AJ mempertaruhkan lagu ciptaan sendiri. Pada mulanya memang tidak yakin sebab risiko perform lagu sendiri ni, sangat tinggi. Rasa kurang yakin tu masih ada sampai la AJ dah naik stage. Even dah kat atas stage pun ada terfikir nak tukar lagu. HAHAHA. Tapi, berbekalkan nasihat dari kawan2, pihak Media Hiburan dan beberapa individu berpengalaman, AJ teruskan juga. Alhamdulillah, ada yang suka dan memuji. Walaupun x menang, saya sangat2 berterima kasih kepada pihak MH sebab telah memberi 1 peluang yang amat bermakna kpd kami finalist.

Tahniah kepada Syed Muhammad Hazman yang telah dinobatkan sebagai juara. Pada pendapat saya, beliau memang layak sebab suara dia ni, power giler! Bila tgk dia menang, rasa macam makin membuak2 semangat nak keluarkan single!

Lastly, nak mintak maaf kepada semua individu yang terlibat secara langsung dan tidak langsung utk event ni. Terutama sekali Iqa. Hahaha. Jutaan terima kasih kpd Abang Hairul yang byk bagi tips. Tak lupa juga Che Meen yang banyak membantu dari segi persembahan dan sokongan. Kepada kawan2 yang sudi datang mlm tu, sorry I couldn't give u my best, but I promise I'll make u guys proud one day!

Pada 12 Mei 2012, pertandingan Pencarian Remaja Berbakat Media Hiburan versi Youtube peringkat separuh akhir telah berlangsung di Kumpulan Media Karangkraf, Shah Alam. I was actually one the the semi-finalist competed to be in the final.

Alhamdulillah, the result had been officially released today via Media Hiburan Facebook Page and I'm through to the final. Lagu utk final blm decide lagi, but here's a short video of my performance from the semi-final

Lagu Baru Dah Siap!!!!

My new song dah officially siap ditulis siap dengan melodinya. Kepada yang pernah dengar lagu AJ sebelum ni insyaallah would find the theme for this song is a bit different in terms of the lyrics & melody itself from my previous songs.

Apa2 hal, SORRY & TERIMA KASIH diucapkan kepada kawan2 AJ yang tak jemu2 menunggu lagu2 baru(tau la aku lambat nak upload kan?). Hopefully, your supports would give me strength to actually succeed in this field.

Insyaallah lagu nya akan diupload esok cause I have to look for guitar & camera first. Sebab I don't have any guitar & camera rosak. Tapi sebab Nik Amiily dah bising tadi, memang kene upload esok jugak.hahahaha..Thanks for reading!!

Lagu Baru Oh Lagu Baru

Well, it's been a while since I last updated my blog and uploaded new video on Youtube. I've been considering quite a number of songs to cover, but the demand for the new original songs is higher. It clearly shows on the number of view over the videos I uploaded on Youtube.
Speaking of new song, yesterday morning I had a brilliant idea on how my new song would sound. Unfortunately, I don't have a guitar to assist me in finishing the melody. So, now I'm stuck with the idea itself revolting in my head. Hopefully, I won't lose it.

To all of you out there who's been waiting for the new video, I hope you guys could wait for a little longer(kalau ada yg tgu la kan.LOL). In the meantime, I really could use some advice & tips on how to increase the view for my videos on Youtube. Feel free to let me know guys! Thanks!

My Story

I first discovered my talent in music at my early age of 6 where my mother was the one who gave me the drive to exploit my talent. Never getting any formal class in music, I learned playing each and every of the musical instrument either by myself or getting a friend to tutor me. Started playing guitar in my sweet 16, by learning from my junior at school. In the same year, I wrote my first piece(Terimalah Ku Kembali) for my nasyid group named Patriots Of Allah(P.O.A). The song was later been used by my school team to compete at state level for several years. Wrote another few piece ever since and during my foundation years in CFS IIUM, I came up with my best piece, Andai Kita. The song grabbed the attention of some local composer and even offered to buy it. Andai Kita was my turning point for me. In late 2010, an agent from some local recording company found my video on Youtube and surprised me with an offer. The offer was for me to record a single and have a release. Unfortunately, such event never take place due to some unknown issues. Currently, I'm actively performing for IIUM Gamelan Group & IIUM Acoustic Band playing the role of a vocalist. I even performed and enter some talent competition as a solo act.

2010 In Review!

2010 was a BLAST for me! Learned so many new stuffs through the year. Definitely the most exciting year of my life! I'd like to share with you guys out there with what I've learned & been through for this period of time.

First, what I've learned(except benda dalam kelas la):

11. Differences between Indie & Mainstream music procedure in Malaysia
    

Aaaa...can't remember the rest. But I'm very sure there are more.
Never mind! Let's move on with what I've achieved during the year!!

1. Joined IIUM Gamelan Club
2. Joined IIUM Acoustic Band
3. Established a blog!
4. Represented IIUM for FESTKUM'10 under Acoustic Band category
5. Nominated as the best solo musician during FESTKUM'10
6. Majored in Bachelor of IT
7. Performed in several wedding as IIUM Gamelan player
8. Conquered BROGA HILL!!!!!
9. Went to Sungai Kanching (with the coolest guys I've ever met!)
10. Won the 1st prize in Sound Lab during Kaedfest.
11. Selected as MRC,Mahallah Representative Committee (tapi dah quit la)

Merenjis? Syirik?

Semalam, aku dan beberapa org ahli kelab gamelan telah menghadiri sebuah majlis perkahwinan bertempat di KAED Gallery IIUM. Kitorang perform kat majlis tu dari awal hingga la ke penghujung majlis (tapi ada la stop along the way).

Ok, majlis ni normal macam wedding2 yang lain. Tapi ada dua benda aku nak highlight. 1 elok, dan 1 lagi tak elok. Yang tak berapa nak elok pasal majlis ni ialah, kumpulan pemain kompang. MACAM HARAM! Diorang menggelarkan diri diorang sebagai Pinggiran Batu Cave. Malas nak debat pasal nama dia. Yang mata aku ni macam nak berdarah je tengok diorang ni, ada ke patot diorang pakai t-shirt xde kolar hitam + jeans ketat??? Pastu dengan rambut diorang ni serabai mcm budak2 x pernah mandi. Menyesal gak aku tak ambik gambar diorang semalam. Punya la tercengang aku dok perati diorang sampai terlupa. Pastu diorang bersilat pulak. Ada pulak tu, yang sampai nampak bontot.EEEE....Buat rosak majlis orang je la...dah la bunga silat sumbang. Apa nak jadi la diorang tu?Marah ni!!

Tapi, yang elok sangat2 pasal majlis ni ialah, dia takde sesi tepung tawar. Sesi tu di gantikan dengan sesi 'Salam Perkenalan'. Takde renjis2! I LOIKE!!!

Kenapa aku suka?

Sebab dalam Islam, takde nyer renjis2 ni. Orang melayu dok terpengaruh dengan adat istiadat Hindu. Dan setakat yang aku tau, merenjis ni kira macam nak buang sial la kan? Tu kan dah syirik nama nya. Istiadat merenjis

Jadi, aku saran kan kepada umat2 Islam di luar sana, dan diri aku sendiri. Takyah la kita continue adat mengarut ni. Salam2 sudah. Macam pengantin semalam.

FROWNIE FACES ALL OVER AGAIN!

Nothing much to say..Just wanna share some misfortune in my life..As I'd posted in one of my previous entry, I'll be performing for a show tonight. Unfortunately, some changes has been made. I won't be making appearance as the the vocalist of the band, but as a back up vocal instead. So, I'm very x100 frustrated at the moment. I wish I can get over this quickly, I still have to play sape' for the band, and gendang for my beloved Gamelan Team though. That's all for now! Countdown to showbiz starts from now!

My Debut!

10th Dec 2010 will be a very historical day for me as I'll be making my debut in performing with the IIUM Acoustic band! The performance is named as Cultural Night. It is one of the slot included in the IIUM Ta'aruf week @ Orientation week.

Other than the Acoustic Band, some other clubs like the Gamelan Club, Angklung Club, Caklempong Club, Zapin Club & Alumni Club will be making their appearance. As the rumor has it, Cultural Night has been a very blasting and happening performance for the last few semester. We've been practicing hard to keep it that way (^^).

On that night, I'll be playing my role as the band's vocalist for the first time. Not to forget, I'm not the only vocalist on that very night. Yesterday, I was shocked by our coach for he had asked me to play Sape' for one of the number that we will perform. For those who have no idea what sape is, you can always ask the friendly Mr.Google.hehehe... ni la sape.

Oh well, I'm running out of juice already. GTG!!

AJ's Version of Exam Fever

Concerning the above tittle (wah! mcm surat rasmi la plak..hahaha)..I've realized that when it comes to exam seasons, certain symptoms will be haunting me like rapidly. The followings are some of them that I can recall up till this moment:

1. Sleeping problem (abnormal biological clock cycle..ngahaha..i wonder if that's the right term to use)
2. Longing for crappy/old games ex: super mario, battle tank, tetris.
3. Inseparable with my laptop & PSP.
4. Arrival of pure inspiration for new songs to compose.
5. Series of some chronic waking up problem.
6. Craving for insanely delicious foods.
7. Lazy enough to open a book. Let alone reading them. (^^)
8. Even if I do managed to open one, I'd just stare at them for few minutes instead of reading thoroughly.
9. Recalling as much memory as I could from the classes that I attended for the whole semester.
10. Download and watch whatever movies that I didn't get to watch at the cinema. HAHAHA!!!
11. Roaming from room to room looking for nothing.

I can only come up with 11 of them. LOL! I wonder if you do suffers from the symptoms above? It would be great to know someone who actually does! hehehe..bye for now!

Terharu

Phew..Today, after I had my lunch as usual right after Friday Prayer, I head back to my precious room. Well, being a student living on campus do offers me lots of options on what to do during spare times. But, not on FRIDAY! hahaha..With no class and whatsoever, I've only my sophisticated laptop to accompany and entertain me. HAHAHAHAHA!!

After I downloaded some videos n mp3s, I got stuck with nothing to do, AGAIN! hahaha..Facebook is so overrated lately. So I decided to google one of my song tittle, which is 'ANDAI KITA'. Then there were 2 of my videos on Youtube appeared on top of the list. But, there was a link that really caught my attention.

It was a blog of this guy who named his blog as bicaraseliparjepun. He posted my video in of of his post. I was like, hahahahaha!! Shocked! & flattered of course.

I would like to thank bicaraseliparjepun for showing the appreciation towards this song for this is the first time people ever did this. THANK YOU! Promoting your blog is the only way that I can express my gratitude. So please do visit this blog people!! bicaraseliparjepun

HELL! It's been over a week since I last updated my blog. Lots of thing occurred during that period of time of course! LOL!

In this post, I wish to apologize to those who've been waiting for my new song to be uploaded here. I'm really2 sorry as it is not even recorded yet. So sorry guys. One thing I do assure you that I will upload the video once I'm done with the editing n recording of the song. (record gne phone je pon)..

Well, in two days times, me & the rest of the IIUM Gamelan Club members will be performing during some OIC(Organization of The Islamic Conference) convention whatsoever. hahaha. Don't even bother to know the name of the event. I hope that it would run smoothly as it seems like a very big event. Please don't screw up on that day AJ!

AHA! One more thing! I'll be attending my driving license test on Wednesday! Please pray for me yeah =)

IIUM Gamelan AGD

HELLO bloggers n friends!!! Wow..It feels like almost forever that I've been away from this blogging hemisphere. Been through lots of stuffs lately, but hey! I'M BACK PEOPLE!! hahaha (ade ke yg tgu aq update blog nih? hahahaha)

Anyway, lately I've performed in an event. Which was the IIUM Gamelan AGD. On that very night, I've performed 3 songs.

Changing costumes was so tiring that I almost fall of the stairs while I was on my way to the fitting room. But, the night was very entertaining and I get to know more seniors in the IIUM Gamelan Club.

The Hectic Campus Life

Fuh..This week was definitely a hectic one!! It was full with activities, mid term papers & quizzes. Alhamdulillah, I managed to survive through the period.

Well, previously I've promised to upload my new song entittled CERITA BARU soon. I'm here to apologize to those who've been waiting for it up till now as it is yet to be recorded. InsyaAllah it would be ready by the weekend. I was too busy with the activities around the campus. Hahaha..

Well, last night I was involved with a Gamelan performance. It was my first time performing for the team since I'm still a new member of the team. Looking forward to be performing again with my newly found CAC (Cultural Art Club) of IIUM(International Islamic University) family. U guys are the BEST!!

There were also performance from the Anklong team, IIUM Band, Dikir Barat and the nasyid team. I guess that's all for now for I'll be preparing the song for me to upload. Till next time guys!!

Eidul Mubaraq

It's almost time that Muslims all around the world can't afford to miss the celebration of this annual festival. I'd like to wish all of you out there HAPPY EIDUL MUBARAQ!!

This year celebration might be the best I'd ever celebrate for the planning I've made with my dear X-GEN of SMSK who are in Kuching. Igt oi tkorg...raya 3rd dtg umh..kkya kita convoy!!! I'm looking forward to it. (^^). To the rest of the X-GEN who couldn't afford to join us on that very day, maybe next year yeah!

To my friends in IIUM...I'll be bringing some of the tasty KEK LAPIS SARAWAK back. So, the brothers are all invited to come to my room (kalo x abes lagi r)..While, the sisters..urm,...I cant promise much, but I'll try to save some of them for you girls to enjoy during the class..hahaha!!

A TASTE OF WINNING (^_^)

I've been having a doubt on writing down this post for the last 2 days. But today, after a good sleep, I've decided to just DO IT!!

Well, here goes...

On the 31 July 2010, after having my halaqah(usrah koko for uia student) & a crappy breakfast, I saw a poster. It catches my attention as it has a nice hollow picture of a person sitting on a chair with a guitar. It mention a word, TALENTIME. Well, you know how it looks right? nk d letak gambo...x de..sori la ea...hahahaha...

I was suppose to go out on that day. Meeting someone special (^_^). Anyway, my instinct drives me mad cause it tells me to go for that TALENTIME. After having a ping pong situation in my mind, a GO was the decision.

Then, I walk straight from my mahallah(college) towards KAED (Kulliyyah of Architecture & Environmental Design Festival). Long story cut short, I performed 3 songs on under the heated noon sunlight in front of a small crowd. It was so-so, but it was just my luck. On of the working committee asked for my number, and he invited me to come for the next night to join another performance. He said, there WILL be prizes. He goes by the name PUAD.

Well, on the next night I came. But my name was not in the list. So, after having a discussion with the programme coordinator, I was allowed to perform on that very night as the last performer...Or should I say, competitor.

My turn came up right after a performance by the UPM representative. For your information, they invited two television personnel as juries. But the thing that shocked me most was that they gave comments & critics after each performance. They were cruel as hell!!! It really bothers me as I almost throw in the towel. Thanks to the support from those who were there (who knows me) & my someone special (^_^), I managed to gather myself & go up the stage.The rest, shall be told by this amateur video from my phone. ENJOY!!!

Life It Is

It' s been a while since I last updated my blog. It's not that I don't want to, but I just don't know what to write anymore. I guess every blogger faced the same in the beginning. Anyway, this post might not be the same with my previous posts as I am intending to write on some of my personal experiences.

It's almost into the end of my 2nd week in my 2nd long semester in IIUM @ UIAM. I expect nothing less from the university life but hectic & headache. The lectures are getting harder everyday and I am yet to settle down. I don't know if the problem is myself or my lecturers, but I have a strong feeling that I know where the problem is. It's just a matter of how to solve it. How I wish life is just as easy as some RPG games that I can alter the difficulties. URGH!!!

Now that the scholarships application frenzy is over, I can rest my mind for a while. All that I can do is wait. I've applied for Yayasan Biasiswa Tunku Abdul Rahman Yayasan Sarawak (as adviced by my highly spirited cousin; Zay) and the famous JPA Scholarship. Well, I don't expect to get the JPA Scholarship, but it won't be a waste if I just applied for it. But if I do get it, it would be a bonus for me.(^_^)..hohohoho!!

Some of my friends were asking of my updates on writing some new songs. Well, the answer is; I have not write anything for the last few months. But I do get a head in collaborating with someone on writing and composing some songs. We're planning to meet soon & I'm looking forward on it as I had received them drafts. Since everything is on the fly lately, I hope Allah will give me time and space at least to catch some breath along this hectic road of life.
